Drawing on her dual expertise in psychology and high-level sport, April helps equestrians understand their fear, retrain their nervous system, and ride with courage. April Clay began riding at age ten and was competing in Open Jumper divisions by sixteen. Her early curiosity about the mental side of competition sparked a lifelong fascination with performance psychology — and continues to shape her work today. A Registered Psychologist in Alberta with over twenty years’ experience, April specializes in sport and performance psychology, mood and anxiety treatment, trauma recovery, and resilience building. She has worked extensively with athletes, first responders, and performers who thrive under pressure — or want to learn how.
